2017 Election - Concerned Windsor Citizens Wants you to Vote

    Concerned Windsor Citizens encourages you to familiarize yourself with the voting process and the candidates for the upcoming municipal election which will take place on Tuesday November 7. When you arrive at the polling place, a poll worker will request that you present ID. Voters will receive a paper ballot with the names of candidates for Town Council, Board of Education and Constable.
    Prior to the election please visit the website of each political party in Windsor to review detailed information about each candidate and attend or view the debates among the candidates which will take place on October 25 and October 26. Absentee ballots are available at the Town Clerks office at the Town Hall.
    Your ballot will list the names of the candidates in Rows. Those affiliated with the Democratic Party are listed in Row A and those affiliated with the Republican Party are listed in Row B. For the Town Council you may vote for any five candidates, for the Board of Education any five candidates and for c onstable any two regardless of party affiliation or Row or Column name.
    For example, if you want to vote for the candidate listed as 1 A and also want to vote for the candidate listed as 1 B, you can vote for both of them. The same applies for candidates 2, 3, 4 and 5 as long as you only vote for a total of five for the Council and five for the BOE and two for constable. You may also vote for LESS than five for Council or BOE or less than two for constable. Concerned Windsor Citizens is a multi-partisan organization. For more information please review our website.

  Awareness: Presentations of factual information relating to issues that impact how Windsor tax dollars are acquired, accumulated, and spent, over the short and long term, help voters assess whether Windsor officials are working in the town's best interest.

  Fiscal Responsibility: Many facets contribute to how Windsor acquires money and operates within the constraints of State and Federal regulations/mandates while also adhering to the town's charter. Due to these intricacies it is imperative taxpayers and voters expect Windsor's officials be of the highest caliber as financial accountability is essential for excellence in bond ratings as well as maintaining facilities and services crucial to our reputation as Connecticut's oldest and wholesome town.

  Leadership: Strong town leadership by individuals with integrity and expertise ensures creation of proposals that have merit and represent the best value for continually promoting Windsor, Connecticut as a desirable place to live, work, and raise children. We are determined to help elect candidates that best reflect these values and goals for the town of Windsor.

      Voters have the ability to demand the best but only by being well informed and exercising their    right to VOTE!
